The Witch’s Broom
Join us the night before Hallow’s Eve for a night of magic and broom lore with professional Broom Witch Bethany. In this workshop we will learn some of the basic skills of broom making and will each make a classic Witch’s Broom to take home and use in our own magical rituals.

Brooms are used around the world for daily and ritual cleansing of spaces. A broom is an important part of making a safe and sacred space. In this industrial modern world handcrafts of all kinds are being replaced by machine made goods. The broom is no exception. Handcrafted brooms are on the brink of extinction. Come learn this craft and sink into the old ways at West County Herb Co..

Cost of class is $115 and tickets can be purchased by calling or visting West County Herb Co. during business hours.

About Broom Witch Bethany:
Bethany is a teacher and student of ancestral skills. For as long as she can remember she has turned to the trees and animals in the forest for council. She believes strongly in the healing powers of nature, believing that strengthening our connection with the natural world can improve our interpersonal relationships and emotional well being. In her own path she has found that working with her hands with elements of nature brings her and others some of the deepest healing. She feels like it is her path to do what she can to help bridge the gap between humans and nature and bring to light how that relationship can help heal trauma.

Bethany has worked with many different natural elements with a strong emphasis on different ways of processing skins (e.g making and using Brain-tan, Bark-tan, rawhide, and furs), earth pigments; and has fallen in love with Broom making.
